  • Gone fishin'


    For inspiration


    Due to the overwhelmingly wonderful responses on both madpimp.com, xanga, and even real life, I've decided that I will continue writing... eventually. I'm going to take a short hiatus from this place and try other places, other methods of self expression. I will come back, though, that I guarantee.

    P.S. I tried to get back to most of you, but I know I missed a few -- I just wanted to say thank you to every person who put in thoughtful input on the last entry. I've read every single comment and taken them all to heart. They mean more than you know.

    P.S. You can find a really awesome free inkblot test on tickle.com. That's the best one online. If you want other ones that aren't so good, but are funny as hell, just google "ink blot tests" and it'll pull up a bunch of them.

  • I just started reading some of your entries and they're wonderful! I've never read anything that could piss me off, make me laugh and actually make me think about things. I'm sure the break is needed and I hope it goes well =) I think I speak for a lot of people when I say I'll keep checking back :D

    As for the March of Dimes thing - I completely agree. I really think it's one of the most important mostly because - as corny as it sounds - it really is there to save our next generation.

    in my own xanga, i've seen a few times where i've really evolved my writing style and topics even... it started out as a journal for tech stuff i learn at work. i was writing stuff like "dreamweaver sucks!" and "i love refactoring!" lol... oh god.

    btw, next time you say "suppository" and they laugh at you, just say back "yeah, i ran out, but i know you keep buying in bulk so let me bum some off ya k?" and be sure to smile at them real naughty.

  • Weird that you write "Eventually" and you get all these goodbye letters. I remember your site from back in like 2000 or something and you went for a very slow posting month or two or three and I remember it being because you felt your entries were uninspiring and the comments even more so. But maybe it's more a problem of the medium than you or anyone else?

    Anyway. I've admired your real gift for writing and seemingly endless creative energy for a while now.

  • Yayaroon is the only one who said it...  But anyway, I have this conceited concern that you'll come back and do stuff and eventually fall back into the same hole and have to crawl back out or not - how seriously do you take this method of expression?  I imagine you don't need it; why are you planning on coming back?  Is it for other people in some way?  Is it because it feels good to be reassured?  Is it because you think you are helping people somehow?  Is it for the idea of "friends?"  Feel free to disregard all this as a proxy for conversation on someone's part, and by way of attempted humor I don't know if I'll ever be able to forgive you for that bowl stuff.
