Kimono hoodie tutorial
Hey guys! Thanks to the great response, here is a tutorial on how to make your very own kimono hoodie.
This tutorial is released under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 3.0 License.
Meaning, make as many as you want and edit it however you want as long as you don’t try to make money off of it.

I rate this at an advanced beginner level. The only “difficult” thing here is attaching the zipper. The construction is only 3 basic shapes.

Enjoy.
ATTENTION, a piece of the tutorial was incorrect, here is the fix:

ORSUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
omg, this is harder thatn calc3!
I think I will just let you make me one.
how about you make me one and i’ll buy it
^ What she said, haha.
Wow. You’re amazing.
That’s far too complicated. Can I pay you to make me one?
That’s still too hard for me. I didn’t even finish my stool in 8th grade shop. hahaha
Working on one right now. The directions are vague and hard to understand. The hardest part was making the actual pattern. Good thing I took fashion design in highschool, or I’d be completely clueless.
oh man, i would so mess that up.
it’s a clever style, i’m retarded and that part of the brain doesn’t work for me that way
that’s a sweet design, the putting it together seems a bit on the tedious side, but the final product looks like it was worth it.
If I actually had my sewing machine, and weren’t so unmotivated, I’d probably try to make one of those. As it is I have a hard of enough time doing anything very constructive.
A kimono hoodie… Now my wifel will wanna try one.
People wonder how I have time to do certain things. I wonder the same about you.
Oh wow. Already cut everything out with no extra fabric to spare. I knew the hoodie looked weird, but I thought it was just one of those things that would look weird but make sense in the end. (sigh) Back to the fabric store I go ..
lovely!
