  • I'm sitting in my very messy room drinking. Don't worry, I'm not drinking by myself -- I have the lovely company of my IM buddies.


    I wanted to tell everybody that last night I had a dream about Full House.  I think I might have been Danny Tanner in the dream.  Which is funny, because that means that at some point in my mind I wanted to scream "I'VE SUCKED DICK FOR CRACK".





    On a different note... Today is my ex-boyfriend's birthday.  This is the first birthday in the four years that I have been in college that I haven't celebrated it with him.


    He sent me a card for mine.  I didn't send one for his.


    I feel like a complete wretch for not doing something special, so I will say it here.

    No one has shared more with me, more of me than you in the years since I came to Irvine.  I'm so proud of your accomplishments and I'm very happy that you're following your dreams.  Thank you for always being there for me.

  • When you get as much traffic as you do, Kim, I think this was a more meaningful gesture. I'd tell you to cheer up and stop drinking alone, but I get the feeling it'd interrupt your creative process. Besides, you're never alone on the internet. But you know that, better than anybody else I know in person.

  • Oh, it's like e-making your own gift, using your best talents in getting your message out.  I don't know who else sees so, but it's definitely more personal than a papermill card, electronic or otherwise.  Heck, as if anybody'll scan this amidst your throng of visitors.

  • Um, and as for drinking, well, coming from a guy who last drank alone watching U-571 at 4 in the morning, ignoring the outside virtual world, I'm not worried.  Like I said, your creative process. (and my attempt to play at being the jaded military commander).

  • i had the same dilemma about sending a card to my ex on his bday or at xmas.  i think clean breaks are the best, tho, and i am glad i never sent him anything.  knowing him, he would prolly tell his friends i was still hung up on him or s'thing equally lame.

  • my ex gf's birthday is at the end of this month. The one who had been living with /seeing a guy where she lives for a while now while saying she wanted to be with me....

    ...so i'm not sure what to do about that.
